FOUR CORNERS SCHOOL OF OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Four Corners School of Outdoor Education is a twenty-seven-year old non-profit organization, based in Monticello, Utah. The vision of Four Corners School of Outdoor Education is to build a diverse community of people who are committed to conserving the natural and cultural treasures of the Colorado Plateau (S. Utah, NW New Mexico, N. Arizona, SW Colorado). The mission of Four Corners School of Outdoor Education is to create lifelong learning experiences about the Colorado Plateau bioregion for people of all ages and backgrounds through education, service, adventure, and conservation programs. We achieve this mission through four programs: Canyon Country Youth Corps, Southwest Ed-Ventures, Discovery Institute for Conservation Education, and the Bioregional Outdoor Education Project.

Since 1984, FCS has provided a wide range of place-based outdoor education programs for some 95,308 participants, ranging in age from 6 to 90. FCS has provided over 113,902 hours of youth and adult service on public lands, 829,000 hours of student/youth outdoor education, 274,000 hours of adult outdoor education, and 116,800 hours of teacher training in outdoor education. The School has awarded 200 teacher scholarships for our outdoor programs; repaired or rehabilitated hundreds of miles of roads, springs, and trails; and worked to protect over 33 archaeological sites on public land.

FOUR CORNERS SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP

Four Corners School depends on annual membership contributions of committed alumni and others devoted to the Colorado Plateau to support our four programs. So please join Four Corners School today at the most generous level you can! Thank you so much!

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Annual memberships start at $25 for the Cactus members (the hardiest of desert plants), and allow you to take advantage of the member price on all Southwest Ed-Ventures trips.  Your $50 annual membership makes you a member of the Yucca group (the most versatile of desert plants, used in native cultures of the Southwest for making essential items like sandals, baskets, and soap). At the Yucca level you are eligible for the above benefits as well as special member bonuses. Members contributing $150 or more become part of the Sage group (sage supports the spiritual life of many native cultures, past and present, through its sacred ceremonies) and receive a 5% discount off member prices for yourself and one other immediate family member in addition to all of the above member benefits.  For an annual donation of $500 or more you become a member of the elite Cedar Mesa Circle.  These very special supporters of the School receive a 10% discount on any Southwest Ed-Ventures trip, as well as invitations to participate in special custom trips.  As you upgrade from Cottonwood ($500) to PiƱon ($1000) to Juniper ($2500) you will receive additional special gifts.
