Many programs originate in Monticello, Utah or Cortez, Colorado. All programs originating in Monticello begin at 6:00 p.m. on the first day and end early on the last day to allow travel time. For the best rates and routes, call Jo's travel Service at (800) 301-9773 and ask for the travel agent. All dates include arrival and departure days.
Four Corners School basecamp is a historic 1920's homestead 19 miles southeast of Monticello, Utah, featuring panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and mesas. Lodging is in the original rustic co-ed bunkhouse or in your own tent. There are two showers and a telephone. Meals are prepared in a communal kitchen by Four Corners School staff and served in the adjacent dining room. Classes are conducted in a "hogan" classroom. Primitive Field Basecamps for programs are remote, with no flush toilets, picnic tables or showers. However, Four Corners School makes these locations as fun and as comfortable as possible (i.e. camp tables, solar showers, and portable toilets).
Briefing packets include full program details with travel information, maps, logistics, detailed itinerary, equipment list, reading list, and staff biographies. The cost of the briefing packet is included in your tuition if you enroll in a Four Corners School program. A briefing packet will be sent to you 90 days before the program starts, or when the program confirms and after we recieve your $100 deposit. Thirty days prior to program start, registrants will receive final program information. Detailed briefing packets are available separately for $12.00 per program.
